Becky is our invaluable paralegal, primary point of contact, scheduling coordinator, and client liaison at Marx Family Law. Becky works directly with prospective clients to sort through relevant information and to orient them to the services offered by the firm and the suitability of the firm’s representation. Then, with attorney supervision, Becky assists our established clients to identify and gather evidence and managing case timelines and progression.

Becky retired from a distinguished career in law enforcement after 25 years working in the justice system in both Utah and Idaho. First as a patrol officer and later as a detective, Becky investigated and helped prosecute cases involving crimes against children, domestic violence, sexual assault, homicides, and violent felonies. Becky has also worked as a full-time Victim Advocate for a domestic violence shelter, where she was the court liaison for domestic and sexual violence cases, facilitated support groups, and taught community groups. Becky prides herself on being prompt and punctual in answering client questions, addressing client concerns, and connecting clients with extra-legal resources when appropriate.

Becky’s career in law enforcement was dedicated to the protection of and advocacy for vulnerable populations. This prior experience has honed Becky’s gentle, but “no non-sense,” approach. Now that she is retired from police work, Becky uses her knowledge of criminal justice and the court system to help the firm’s clientele. She uses these same skills and experience to educate our clients about the various stages of their case and to help them feel comfortable throughout the family law process.

Becky’s compassionate nature and direct approach to dealing with problems makes her a wonderful asset to Marx Family Law.
